How does the Procedure work?

Scalp micropigmentation at Oakwell SMP clinic is a cosmetic procedure that involves injecting micro pigments into the scalp to create the appearance of a fuller, denser head of hair. The process typically involves the following steps:

Consultation: During the consultation, our practitioner will assess your scalp and discuss your goals for the procedure. They may also take photos for reference and provide you with information about the procedure, including the expected results, the number of sessions required, and the costs involved.

Preparation: Before the procedure, our practitioner will clean and shave the area to be treated. We also apply a numbing cream to minimize discomfort.

Pigment application: Our practitioner will use a specialized SMP tattoo machine to inject pigment into the scalp. The pigment is applied in small individual micro dots, to mimic the appearance of real hair folicles.

Healing and aftercare: After the procedure, the treated area may be red and slightly swollen. Our practitioner will provide you with instructions on how to care for the treated area and minimize any potential side effects.

Follow-up sessions: Scalp micropigmentation typically requires multiple sessions to achieve the desired results. The number of sessions required will depend on the specific goals of the treatment and the condition of the scalp. Our practitioner will schedule follow-up sessions at intervals of several weeks if required.
